I'm a big sis!

Introducing my new little sister, Isabelle! On July 2nd my parents nervously ran around the house and packed up bag and left me at my grandparents' house. Then my grandparents nervously ran around the house and left me for the entire night! It was very confusing! Then I finally came home on July 4th and got to lick the tiny hand of a precious little baby girl. All of the family came over (fun!) and and I managed to get a little attention. It was quite a day...then it ended with those horribly loud noises that come about this time every year.

This is me with mommy, just 2 days before they left me.
She smells yummy! Finally I get a walk! Liking the stroller...

This is the life.

I like to babysit.

Snuggling with sweet Isabelle.

Look at me too!
Many might think that Isabelle's arrival means less fun for me. Not so. Now people come visit all the time, and I know they come to see me too! And mom and dad are both hanging out a lot more...I figure out ways to position myself to make sure a hand is touching me as much as possible. I don't get quite as much sleep, though. Mom gets up at night all the time, and I like to keep her company.

it's official

Okay, I've decided that something big is definitely about to happen. About 4 months ago I noticed that my parents started spending a lot more time in the room that used to be dad's office. They moved out all the junk and moved in new furniture, a nice soft rug, and some very tempting toys. Up until now I've been pretty sure this room is for me.

That's why I love to nap in there, right behind the rocking chair.

I thought this sweet lamb was for me, but mom keeps scolding me when I take him off the bed to introduce him to my racoon.

Mom's belly has definitely grown a lot. She doesn't walk me as much or as far as she used to and she goes so much slower! Whatever is growing inside her better come out soon. Maybe it's a new friend for me?

6 months flies by...

My, how time has flown by! I guess I've just been so busy (you know, the usual stuff- barking at the neighbor dogs, digging holes, chasing squirrels off the bird feeder, catching moles) that I haven't had a chance to blog in a long time! 2009 ended well, with some fun play dates with my sis, Selwyn. Sadly, my parents had to end the playdates because they are trying to grow a lawn. We've never really had grass, and I sure would like to roll around in it one day!

Sometimes Selwyn and I fight,

and play real rough...

...and then we make up

Nothing better than snuggling with my sis. This was my 2nd birthday gift. I love my new bed!

Christmas time usually means some kind of torture...well okay, I guess I started it.
New Year's Eve when my parents came home...
Daddy taught me to help him bring in the firewood! Yummy!
I help warm the bed before Mommy comes to bed.
I'm starting to get the feeling that something is going to change around here pretty soon...mom and dad keep saying things like, "you better enjoy this attention now, because pretty soon you won't be the center of our world." I mean, what is that supposed to mean? And, "this is the last time you'll be allowed up in bed to snuggle." They also emptied out a room and now it always smells like paint. They keep bringing stuff in there and I'm just not sure what to think...I'm a little worried. Not to mention that Mommy must be eating too much cake these days...she's getting a little chunky.
I guess I'll just have to cuddle up with my buddies for comfort...
I think Dad and I will be spending lots of quality time together from here on out. I love reading with him!
Me and my buddy, Zoe Shea!

See what I mean about mom putting on the lbs?!
